<p>I selected this fighter for my first model because of its small number of outer details, especially of riveted metal panels. When I was starting this project, in 2006, I did not know what kind of obstacles I will find during this process. Thus I chosen this simple La-5 to ensure, that I will finish it, anyway.
</p>
<p>Of course, there are plenty of details inside the cockpit – but I already had some experience, when I started to model these small parts.
</p>
<p><spanl>In 1979 I selected the same type to be my first model,
built from the scratch (just from the scale drawings – see
<A href="motivation-010_e.xml" title="Some details about me and my previous projects">details about my old projects</A>).
The reson of this choice was the same – small number of outer details.</spanl>
